LA Rams number of pre-draft meetings climbs to 22

The number of LA Rams pre-draft meetings has climbed once more. Now the team has been tracked at meeting up to 22 different prospects before the upcoming 2021 NFL Draft. If you think that is a lot, keep this in mind. The Rams no doubt have as many as five to ten prospects in mind for each and every round of the NFL Draft. So if they have 22 meetings on record, there is likely another 38 players on their draft board that are under the radar.

To be honest, that’s just how the Rams personnel department wants it.

You see, it’s not the fact that the LA Rams have just six picks in the 2021 NFL Draft. It’s the fact that the LA Rams’ first pick is at 57. Most of the NFL teams will have the opportunity to make multiple selections from the 2021 draft class before the LA Rams have their first chance to do so. So the key to a successful draft for the LA Rams is to be extremely prepared for the moment the draft arrives and to have good options at each occasion that the Rams can pick.

As we have stated in previous exercises of this nature, the point is NOT to claim that the LA Rams are exclusively focused upon these prospects. It’s simply to alert our readers that these players are on the radar, and more importantly, these positions are targetted in the upcoming draft.

Does it surprise anyone that the LA Rams are, once more, focused upon the wide receiver position in this draft? Well, not only is the 2021 draft class loaded with talented receivers, but early reports are that the 2022 class will have far fewer to choose from. In a similar fashion, the defensive backs are deep and talented this year, but not so much in 2022. So which positions have the Rams targetted so far?
