Okay, the LA Rams 9000 square feet Malibu beach house may impress most of us as an ideal place to call draft headquarters for the 2021 NFL Draft. But when it comes to Arizona Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury, he is not about to one of his NFC West rivals the luxury of positive feedback.
After all, the LA Rams have ruled the Cardinals and were singularly responsible for keeping them out of the playoffs last year. And there is no evidence that anything will change this year.
Kingsbury on the #Rams draft house: “I really think it’s just a ploy by McVay to allow himself the opportunity to take his shirt off again and jump in the pool like he did on Hard Knocks, sip some rose, take a dip in the ocean and make some draft picks.”pic.twitter.com/l1RvMdxMe6

Are you wondering why this is even an issue? Well, it all began during the 2020 NFL Draft, the first virtual remote draft in NFL history. During their telecast of round one of that draft, the ESPN television crew, and particularly sports analyst Ryan Clark, made it a point to cite Kliff Kingsbury’s living room as the best setup for the first round of the draft. Apparently, the LA Rams took notice.
This year, the LA Rams will headquarter their 2021 NFL Draft effort at a 9000 square foot Malibu Beach House. In true LA fashion, the house has all of the LA perks, including a pool and spacious accommodations. In fact, there is even a chance to win a weekend getaway at that same Malibu beach house.
As for Cardinals HC Kingsbury? Don’t look for him to be entering any sweepstakes. After all, the busiest time of the year is about to get underway. You see, all of the new rookies will have plenty of questions and will be on-boarded into the NFL en masse.
Kingsbury won’t have time to hang out at the pool during the draft. Or maybe he’s just a tad miffed because his team won’t give him the opportunity to do so?
