LA Rams met with Houston Cougars LB/S Grant Stuard
By Bret Stuter
As soon as you put something out there about the LA Rams and their pre-draft meetings, the LA Rams do something to make it all obsolete. And (queue dramatic music) right on queue, the LA Rams have gone down the road on me one more time in terms of virtual meetings. This time the pre-draft meetings that have happened multiple times include Houston Cougars outside linebacker/ special teams player Grant Stuard.
Is he not on your radar? He wasn’t on mine, despite the fact that one of the most respected voices in NFL Draft circles came out with a huge endorsement for him just one month ago. How did I miss that? In any case, he is a promising and energetic prospect coming out of the American Athletic Western Conference and is aiming at the 2021 NFL Draft.
And he has at least one ringing endorsement from a highly respected voice among NFL Draft circles:
Outside linebacker Grant Stuard is a swiss army knife when it comes to NFL prospects. He stands just under 6-foot-0 and weighs in at 230 pounds. He was a dynamic college linebacker, but his size could cattle shoot him into a special teams’ role in the NFL out of the game. But that may be his redeeming quality.
It certainly could be what is so attractive about him for the LA Rams. In fact, per Grant Stuard’s own account, he has met with all 32 NFL teams so far.
