DE Fox

If there was any single player at the cusp of having a breakout season in 2021, LA Rams defensive end Morgan Fox would certainly be a name among that select group. He is one of many undrafted free agents who found themselves earning a roster spot with the LA Rams, contributing on special teams and small rotational roles, and earning a real shot at a larger role.

Fox was more than a rotational guy. He was a living example that LA Rams defensive line coach Eric Henderson can coach young men from that raw talented clay from their rookie season and mold them into a quality NFL starter. Fox will put on a solid show for the Carolina Panthers this year.

Fox is a 6-foot-3 and 275-pound defensive end out of Colorado State-Pueblo. With only three NFL starts in 2020 (two in regular season and one in playoffs) and 403 defensive snaps, he amassed 27 tackles, 13 QB pressures, four hurries, three knockdowns, and six quarterback-sacks. That’s pretty good for a player who was re-signed to the team on May 15, 2020.  He was the guy who was unheralded, but who always seemed to be making huge plays for the team.  Nobody cheers when a player like that leaves, but moreso when that player is expected to be at the cusp of NFL stardom.
