WR Bruce
The next Rams retired jersey, number 80, belongs to WR Isaac Bruce, a dependable and sure-handed wide receiver who was part and parcel, the leading pass catcher of the aerial attack known as The Greatest Show on Turf.
As a four-time Pro Bowl selection, Bruce amassed 15,208 receiving yards in his career (fifth all-time). He played the first 14 years with the Rams and won a Super Bowl ring with the team in Super Bowl XXXIV over the Tennessee Titans. He also later played for the San Francisco 49ers.
In 2020, Bruce was elected into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Bruce produced eight 1,000-yards seasons and 10 seasons in which he recorded 60 or more receptions.
He was drafted by the Los Angeles Rams in the second round of the 1994 NFL Draft after playing college football for the University of Memphis. He is currently the athletic director of the University of Fort Lauderdale, a Christian college with HBCU roots.
In his second season with the team, he had a career-high 119 catches for 1,781 yards and 13 touchdowns. He retired as the Rams’ all-time leader in catches, receiving yards, and yards from scrimmage, and had 12 seasons with 50 or more receptions and eight 1,000-yard seasons. In his career, he amassed 1,024 receptions for 15,208 yards and 91 total touchdowns.
