HOF Bruce
Wide receiver Isaac was just inducted into the NFL Hall of Fams in February 2020. At his Hall of Fame enshrinement speech, he said,
"“My Mom taught me to be humble, but once I’m on the field it becomes a competition thing. I have something to prove whenever I go out there. I think guys look at me and think I’m skinny or see where I went to school and probably ask what am I doing here. So, I take the initiative as far as coming off the ball and trying to block and trying to knock a defensive back on his butt or trying to catch passes and make a big play.” – Isaac Bruce Hall of Fame acceptance speech"
Bruce produced eight 1,000-yards seasons and 10 seasons in which he recorded 60 or more receptions.
In 1999, Bruce was one of the key reasons why a team that had never finished higher than third place in the NFC Western Division in nine seasons raced out of the gates to a Super Bowl victory. Bruce’s 77 receptions for 1,165 and 12 touchdowns earned him an All-Pro nod and helped prime the Rams to a then-franchise best 13-3 record. In Super Bowl XXXIV, Bruce grabbed six receptions for 162 yards (third-most in Super Bowl history) and one touchdown. His 73-yard reception with under two minutes left to play in the game proved to be the game-winner.
In 2006, he founded the Isaac Bruce Foundation which focuses on health, wellness, nutrition, fitness, and education. Through the Foundation, Isaac reaches out to youth and teaches them at an early age the importance of a healthy lifestyle with a focus on education.
