LA Rams: 5 players appear in “CBS Top 100”

Coming in at the 99th position in the CBS Top 100 list is LA Rams defensive back, Darious Williams. Based on the criteria used to promote and elevate other players at other positions, this seems to be a bit low. After all, the guy is an elite defensive back in his own right.

For example, Williams has yet to allow 70+ receiving yards against him since entering the league in 2018.  In 2020, you know that the opposing quarterback threw at him because the statistics prove that they simply did not throw often in the direction of his teammate Jalen Ramsey. Now, keep in mind that the LA Rams faced some of the best quarterbacks in 2020, and still managed to put up impressive numbers.

Of course, the Rams managed to do so because they boasted two Top-10 NFL defensive backs, but somehow, translating Top-10 to Top-100 became Darious Williams only showing up at 99.

Of course, there is a bit of pageantry and controversy in any list of top NFL players. The Rams experienced that quickly on this list.
