While the LA Rams must sort out who lines up next to second-year sensation Jordan Fuller, nobody is questioning whether or not Fuller himself can repeat his rookie season with a new teammate.  The Rams defense sizzled with Fuller on the field in 2020, make no mistake about that. Now the LA Rams will need to see if they can get the secondary heated up with three of five returning starters.

Jalen Ramsey, Darious Williams, and Jordan Fuller make up the three seasoned veterans right now. Both Jalen Ramsey and Darious Williams made the CBS Top 100 list in 2021. Let’s settle up that slight oversight right here and now. He is a 6-foot-2 203-pound defensive back who can play the run or the pass very effectively in the LA Rams defensive scheme.

He started in all 12 regular-season games that he played in and started both playoff games. That happened after an abbreviated crash-course offseason, and amidst one of the most complicated and effective defenses in the NFL. Of course, he had the aide of veteran John Johnson, but it was a solid tandem, where both were able to cover their area of the field in a strong manner.

Of course, more will be expected of Fuller this year. And to crack the CBS Top 100 list, he’ll need to deliver far beyond expectations. But he will be able to do so. After all, he is getting a full complement of offseason and preseason work. He’s getting full access to the team’s strength and conditioning program. And most of all, he has the access to coaches and teammates to build familiarity and repoire long before the season begins.
