LA Rams: New uniforms (4th in series) finally get it right
By Bret Stuter
Championship look and feel
The color scheme with the newly designed sleeves is a solid reformulation of the 1999 color scheme worn by the then St. Louis Rams in winning their Super Bowl. These jerseys are designed to be worn with Sol pants and make use of the yellow sleeves to impart the modern Rams horns design in a contrasting Royal Blue.
Now we’re talking. Unfortunately, the novelty of the uniform design has limited our ability to share, and the fact that it is only now officially released limits our imagery to tweets that have embedded the image. Still, the design is ready, set, go for a team vying for NFL Championship success. Just ask HOFer wide receiver, Tory Holt, about his thoughts:
"“The first thing I said after I saw the uniforms, I was like, ‘That has championship written all over it,'” seven-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Torry Holt said. “I think that’s the expectations for the Rams. I think these uniforms signify that as well. … That’s the color pattern that we wore in ’99 when we won Super Bowl XXXIV.” – Tory Holt as reported by Jourdan Rodrique of The Athletic (subscription required)"
Okay. It’s gotten a warm reception. But what about when the team will don the new-look uniforms? What about post-season play?
