Okay, even though the LA Rams are at a minor football hiatus, we’ve continued to pour out plenty of narrative and angles to aid in anticipating and even enjoying what is yet to come. But now, let’s take Ramblin’ Fan in another direction, daring to veer about as far off the well-beaten path of football X’s and O’s and idle speculations about the upcoming LA Rams’ training camp intrigue as one could possibly wander – to the single most important ingredient of any tailgating effort – beer.

And ‘lest we be accused of being shills for the alcohol industry, we should probably disclose here that this article is not a paid advertisement and no inducements (monetary or otherwise, in the form of a six-pack or two which might have gotten kicked down to us or that happened to fall off the beer truck around a sharp corner) were involved.

It’s a public service. Yeah, public service. That’s our story and we’re sticking to it. Plausible deniability.

The good folks at Golden Brewing Company in Southern California (and anyone who owns a brewery is automatically considered “good folks” in our book) have come out with a “Whose House” blonde ale that pays homage to this season’s LA Rams and the opening of So-Fi Stadium to fans. It features a Rams’ colors blue and yellow can emblazon with a catchy marketing slogan near the bottom: “New House, New Look.”

It hails from the Golden Road Brewing company, and wow, this stuff is already making my thirst feel a bit parched. Whose House beer, folks!  Yes, that’s right, complete with the LA Rams’ new colors and new logo.

Can’t find it at your local grocer? Well then, just click on this Golden Road company website to pick up a case and have it delivered to your door. You can check out the website TapHunter for more information about where to find the brew, including how to contact the brewery on Twitter at @goldenrowbrew or simply the old fashioned way of checking out the brewery personally at 5410 San Fernando Road West, Los Angeles, CA 90039

It is also unclear if this is the same beer as the LA Dodgers have re-branded for games at Chavez Ravine. (Perhaps our readers can do some unpaid reconnaissance for us and let us know in the comments section below.)

Even if you don’t imbibe (or partake of pre-game tailgate rituals), perhaps this little item can be stashed away in some forgotten closet for yourself as a collectible item, to be revisited after a decade or so when it’s sky-rocketed in value. After 10 years, it’s considered “vintage,” isn’t it? Betting that someday down the road it will have not just perceived value, but real intrinsic, tangible value.

Ya know, like cryptocurrency. . . or NFT’s. . . (or some of those first-round “drafts” picks the team has traded away?) Imagine loading up on about a dozen cases of the stuff, and then watching the LA Rams win Super Bowl LVI? At that point, you may not even want to sell them, no matter how much they appreciate in value. True aficionados of team merchandising know what to buy as collectibles, even their beers.
