The LA Rams will enter the 2021 season with a new quarterback, Matthew Stafford. A veteran of 12 NFL seasons, all with the Detroit Lions offense, Stafford has enjoyed a tremendous career with the Lions throwing for 282 touchdowns and over 45,000 yards. To acquire him the team traded a package of quarterback Jared Goff, two first-rounders, and a third-round draft pick to the Lions. They also signed wide receiver Desean Jackson to a one-year deal, who of course spent time with HC Sean McVay in Washington.

The team was also busy on defense,  re-signing OLB Leonard Floyd to a four-year deal worth $64 million. Floyd was great for them last season registering 10.5 sacks.  The biggest departure besides Goff was defensive tackle Michael Brockers, who they traded for the Lions for a 2023 7th round pick.

Without a first-round pick, the Rams added depth with their other picks, starting with speedy WR Tutu Atwell, from Louisville in the second round, WR/TE Jacob Harris, from UCF in the fourth round, and RB Jake Funk, from Maryland as well as WR Ben Skowronek, from Notre Dame in the seventh round.

Prefer some defense?  Say hello to ILB, Ernest Jones, from South Carolina, who was selected by the Rams in the third round. He was quickly joined by DT Bobby Brown III, from Texas A&M in the fourth round, along with CB Robert Rochell from Central Arkansas, DE Earnest Brown IV, from Buffalo in the fifth round, and finally  OLB Chris Garrett, from Concordia University St Paul in the seventh round.

This new look Rams team will now try to advance further than they did last year when they lost in the divisional round to the Packers. This team has its sites set on the Lombardi trophy. With no first-round draft picks for the next few seasons, this team is very much all in. For the first time in NFL history, the regular season will consist of 17 games. Here I will predict their regular-season record.
