First half 2021 season

Week 1 Chicago Bears Sunday 9/12 5:20 PM Result: W (1-0)

The Rams will win this game because their defense will be too much to handle for whoever the quarterback is. It’s a major mismatch for Andy Dalton, Nick Foles. or rookie Justin Fields

Week 2 @Indianapolis Colts Sunday 9/19 10:00 AM Result: W (2-0)

This will be a tough test early in the season, especially traveling on the road to play in the 1 PM time slot because west coast teams tend to struggle when they travel east.  The Rams will win a close one because their offense is just a little bit better than the Colts. Matthew Stafford has recently proven to be more trustworthy than Carson Wentz. I costly Wentz turnover could be the undoing for the Colts.

Week 3 Tampa Bay Buccaneers Sunday 9/26 1:25 PM Result: L (2-1)

The Rams will put a fight, but the defending Super Bowl champion Bucs are simply too loaded on both sides of the ball.

Week 4 Arizona Cardinals Sunday 10/3 1:05 PM Result:  W (3-1)

The NFC West always has back and forth divisional battles, and I expect this game to come down to a field goal. I think the Rams have what it takes to get the better of the Cardinals at home. Their defense can do just enough to confuse Kyler Murray. The streak continues.

Week 5 @Seattle Seahawks Thursday 10/7 5:20  PM Result: L (3-2)

Staying in the division, this will be another tough matchup on a short week. The Seahawks are undermanned, and they arguably could be the worst team in the division. Traveling to the 12tn man is never easy. They still have venerable QB Russel Wilson, happy or not, which is enough to give them a chance on a short week. The Seahawks and Rams always play competitive games, and this matchup will be no different. Wilson wins this one for the Seahawks late in the fourth quarter.

Week 6 @New York Giants Sunday 10/17 10:00 AM Result: W (4-2)

The Giants made several notable additions this offseason. Of course, it was headlined by Kenny Golladay. Traveling East is never an easy task, but despite the moves they made this Rams team is just better. The Rams win this one easily by 7-10 points.

Week 7 Detriot Lions Sunday 10/24 1:05 PM Result: W (5-2)

This game will be circled on the calendar because it’s a grudge match for Matthew Stafford and Jared Goff, as they will face off against their former teams for the first time. Both quarterbacks have never been on another team, but Stafford has obviously been around much longer. This will be a laugher you have the Rams who are one of the best teams, and the Lions are clearly one of the worst. The Rams know Goff better than anyone and they will make him turn the ball over several times. The Rams win by at least two touchdowns.

Week 8 @Houston Texans Sunday 10/31 10:00 AM Result: W (6-2)

Will the Texans even have Watson as their quarterback with all of his legal issues, and his request to be traded. Even if he suits up, the Rams will dominate. The Texans are one of the worst teams in the NFL. This won’t be pretty for them. Rams roll easily

Week 9 Tennesse Titans Sunday 11/7  5:20 PM Result: L (6-3)

The Titans will be a tough test and the matchup of the newly acquired Julio Jones vs Jalen Ramsey will be box office. The problem is they also have A.J. Brown who could expose the Rams’ second corner which could be Darious Williams. Derrick Henry will also be a tall order, and I think the Titans offense will be too much to handle. The Rams will come back down to earth after winning three straight, and they will lose a shootout to the Titans.
