Hope comes in strange forms
The Rams fanbase fell a bit silent today. The silence was broken by Cam Akers himself, who let the world know that he is doing well and in good spirits. That was a huge bright spot that helped to lighten everyone’s mood:
I just want to thank any and every person sending prayers my way and wishing me well. I hate this happened but I’m in great spirits and I understand God makes no mistakes. I’ll be back better than ever in no time I’m a soldier. Again, thank you 🙏🏾.

After the fears of Cam Akers injury subsided, thoughts pivoted to the LA Rams. What will the team do? How can the team, and the entire organization pivot instantly from an offense designed to rush Akers 200+ times and suddenly go back to the drawing board to mete out the carries between the five remaining running backs? Well, it happened in 2018 when the Rams were heading for the playoffs and Todd Gurley fell to injury. Curiously, it was Sharp Football’s Warren Sharp who gently reminded everyone of that fact.
how quickly people forget when Todd Gurley could barely move, the Rams brought in CJ Anderson off the street and he put up nearly 500 rush yards in 5 games & the Rams almost won a Super Bowl

losing Cam Akers truly sucks but let's be realistic about its impact on the Rams season
It’s true. The LA Rams have a well-coached, disciplined football team. While even the Rams can reach their limits of replacing injured players, this roster is still robust with talented young players who are eager to take their shot. Now, it all comes down to the five remaining running backs, and the running back coach who so quickly impressed Head Coach Sean McVay in 2020: Thomas Brown.
