The LA Rams rookie class of 2021 is a fun group, and that means that there are lots of fun ways to get to learn more about each player individually. So far, the team has been encouraging that process through a series of daily questions posed to the rookies as they take the practice field, or in this case, by asking them what they believe their Madden 22 ratings will be.
As Bobby Brown III astutely states, they are rookies. The track record for rookies so points to the ratings coming in notoriously undervalued in Madden. The reason is simple. Rating players before they ever play a single snap in the NFL is tricky business and the game programmers simply are a bit conservative. Rookies may not earn playing time, and in a worst-case scenario, may even be cut.
Still, it’s fun to take a break from the evaluation of the team, transactions, the coaches, and the progress in training camp so far, and just turn the focus over to the rookie class who are confronting their Madden 22 scores for the first time.
Just so you know what the LA Rams rookies ratings are, here is their official Madden 22 rating:

21 rookies on the current roster, and of that number, only 10 players have a Madden 22 rating. Who do you believe was shortchanged? My guess is Bobby Brown III, but he was the only rookie in the class to low-ball himself, guessing at 61. He actually came in with an impressive (for a rookie) 67.
The best rookie rating was the 68 awarded to WR Tutu Atwell. Of course, Atwell was quarantined in his room when this was filmed, which is why he did not appear on the video. Also, no undrafted rookies were rated in Madden 22, which is why they did not appear either. What do you think? Too low? Too high? Or just right?
