The LA Rams will likely need to confirm Sony Michel’s health via a medical exam. In the meantime, that will give the team the time required to open a roster spot to play Michel when he has cleared his medical examination and physical.

Right now, the to-be trade has been confirmed by the NFL. Of course, for now, the trade looks like this (as no compensatory 2022 NFL Draft picks have been awarded).

So let’s fast forward to just before the 2022 NFL Draft and see what the LA Rams have truly traded away, and what that will look like?

Well, that’s quite a complicated conditional trade. Now keep in mind that oftentimes conditional picks are linked to production or playing time for the acquired player. That is not the case here, as the Rams have acquired Sony Michel outright. The only conditions that exist are whether or not the Rams organization is award the fourth-rounder.
