Have you ever hit that point where you are just too tired to sleep, so you drink a hot tea or coffee to try to reset the sleep cycle thing, and as you await the drowsies to hit, stumble onto something that flashes interest and intrigue? Well, that happens to me sometimes. This is my story, and that is why I am writing another article at midnight when I probably should have been asleep hours ago.

But back to my tale. I stumbled onto a Rams forum and caught a title about a San Francisco 49ers waived player described as a “steal” so I figured what could it hurt? I read the commentary about Wayne Gallman II, a player originally drafted by the New York Giants and signed after four seasons by the San Francisco 49ers earlier this year to a one-year deal. Well, they waived him. He’s available.

For all of the angst and hateful social media treatment that the 49ers fans dish out on social media, one thing is certain. The San Francisco 49ers do a good job at the running back position. So well that apparently some Rams fans targeted their cuts to see if there were any serviceable running backs waived. To their good fortune, and my own, there was. And to some social media responses, it was a surprise:

Well, that certainly looks intriguing enough to raise some eyebrows.

So the next step is to check out the assessment roster cuts from the San Francisco 49ers roster cuts as discussed at the 2:50 mark.

So now that we’ve got some promising reasons to investigate further, what say we explore the potential of Gallman and determine whether he may be a fit for the LA Rams roster?
