Allen excels in 2021
It’s no small coincidence that Brian Allen’s surge has paralleled the performance of quarterback Matthew Stafford. Stafford is playing lights out because his center is playing lights out. And just in case you were wondering, Brian Allen’s performances are not going unnoticed
Notable PFF grades from @RamsNFL Week 2 win.

At the end of Week 3, Pro Football Focus has given Brian Allen an overall 77.7 performance grade for 2021. So far, Allen has allowed one quarterback sack and been called for a holding penalty once.
In the 1940s through the 1960s, an advertisement for Charles Atlas fitness training program prompted ’98 pound weaklings’ to stop the beach bullying and get into shape by working out. That, the advertisement stated, would make the love of his life believe in him once more. It was that advertisement that inspired the Captain America super-soldier origination.
Now, it’s Brian Allen who was kicked around in the NFL, took two years off to rehab and get into the best shape of his life, and return to do a bit of kicking around of his own. Nobody is kicking sand in LA Rams Brian Allen’s face anymore. But as far as Allen kicking sand in the faces of NFL defensive linemen? He’s not making any promises.
