Bold prediction V: Stafford will throw 300 yards, 2+ TDs, 0 Ints

Regardless of how the LA Rams offense starts in this one, veteran quarterback Matthew Stafford will find the range and put up another great performance. It’s how this LA Rams offense is rolling so far.  And it’s all thanks to veteran quarterback Matthew Stafford.

Early in 2020, the Detroit Lions rolled into Arizona and upset the Cardinals. That was the Arizona Cardinals’ first loss of the season, and Stafford threw for 270 yards, two touchdowns, and no interceptions in the win.

Now Stafford will play against the Arizona Cardinals early in 2021 and will have the chance to hand them the first loss of 2021. From a small sample, he has a much more productive offense at his disposal, a much stronger defense to take care of business, and the home-field advantage in this one.

Must Read. Matthew Stafford's ice-cold efficiency fits LA Rams' high-octane offense perfectly.. light

While you may not feel this is THAT bold, the fact that we are calling for another 300-yard, multiple-touchdown game without throwing an interception makes this too specific to be a general ‘he’ll play well’ vanilla prediction. The bold prediction is that, even though the Arizona Cardinals know that is what Stafford can do, and although they have stopped teams from passing on them before, they won’t have the same success in this one.

Even if the Cardinals defense has Stafford held in check at halftime, this is an offense that can score from anywhere in less than a minute. That means that even if the Cardinals are running away with this one, Stafford has proven that he has the ability to lead the team back to victory.
