Best LA Rams prop bets for Week 5 (part II)

  • Bet No. 2

LA Rams Over 27.5 points (-115)

Believe it or not, this offense is averaging over 28 points per game. Even in games where this offense appeared to ‘struggle’, as in Week 4, the team put up 20 points. That was against a Cardinals defense that was and is very stingy when it comes to the passing game.

The Seattle Seahawks defense is simply not in that same neighborhood. They are not stopping anyone, let alone this offense that just got a cold slap-in-the-face after falling asleep at the wheel. The Rams were embarrassed, particularly the offense that lost its first game of the season. That didn’t sit well with the head coach. That didn’t sit well with the quarterback.

Some have already begun to claim that Matthew Stafford wilts under pressure. Then who was outdueling Tom Brady in the preview week’s scoring fest?

I think this is going to be a significant offensive effort for the Rams, and I think it could be a huge score. 40 points? Maybe not, but I can see the Rams topping 34 points in this one. their high-water mark so far in the 2021 NFL season.

Unlike Week 4, head coach Sean McVay will re-examine their offensive tendencies and should make a bonafide effort to make things less predictable. The roster has a tremendous number of offensive weapons, but through the air and on the ground.

  • Bet No. 3

Total Points Over 58.5 points (+140)

Do you believe in the offense, but have no belief at all in the defense? Then this prop bet is for you. You can double down on the expectation that the Rams will put up a ton of points in this one by leveraging the Seattle Seahawks’ ability to keep pace for a while.  The Seahawks average 26.5 points per game this year. The defense is playing below average right now.

If the Rams put up over 34 points, will the defense throw a shutout? Doubtful. If the Rams fall behind in this one, their offense will be motivated to put up instant points. If they jump out to a lead? Their defense will try to prevent the big play and Seattle will put up points.

The Rams and Seahawks defenses are struggling right now. Will either stiffen for Week 5 on Thursday Night Football? Don’t bet on it. Bet on another offensive shootout.
