The LA Rams are 4-1 and are back on the road this Sunday after a long restful weekend following a pretty significant win in Seattle on Thursday against the Seahawks. At 4-1, the LA Rams are among the most successful teams in the NFL and are just one game against the Arizona Cardinals.

The team could make up some ground through the rest of the month, as the upcoming stretch is by far the easiest on the schedule. The Rams travel this week to face the Giants, return home to host the Detroit Lions, and then return on the road to take on the Houston Texans. On paper, those all appear to be winnable games

The New York Giants host the Rams, after being dismantled by the Dallas Cowboys in the second of two road games. This was the same Giants team that had just earned their first win of the season by taking down the New Orleans Saints.  The NFL is fickle sometimes.

The LA Rams defeated the Seattle Seahawks in Seattle in somewhat of a must-win game. As has been the case for the Rams so far in 2021, they are finding ways to win that are not pretty, but just as effective.

When the Giants lost to the Cowboys, they also lost quarterback Daniel Jones to a concussion, running back Saquon Barkley to an ankle injury, and wide receiver Kenny Golladay to a hyperextended knee. Those losses removed their three top offensive weapons, so the injury report will be a key to this Week 6 matchup.

In the Rams game, they had to deal with arm injuries to both running back Darrell Henderson and tight end Tyler Higbee. Both returned to the game. The Rams did lose starting defensive back, Darious Williams, to an ankle injury, and his status for Week 6 is uncertain at this time.

That was a brutal hit by teammate Taylor Rapp. Hopefully, Williams will be healthy soon.

Rams vs. Giants Odds, Spread, Over/Under & Betting Pick Week 6

Odds are courtesy of WynnBET (but are subject to change quickly)

Point Spread

  • Rams -11.0 (-110)
  • Giants +11.0 (-110)

Money Line

  • Rams -650
  • Seahawks  +475

Over/Under 47.5 points

  • Over -110
  • Under -110

Recommended Bets:

Take the under in this one at 47.5 points (-110)
Take the Rams on the Moneyline (-115) to win outright

The Moneyline for this one will move quickly, as the oddsmakers are still trying to get a bead on which injuries will play a part in this game. While the Rams are on the road for their second consecutive game, the additional rest after playing on Thursday Night Football was huge.

I would be cautious about the current spread of 11.0 points. That is a huge number to overcome on the road. The team historically has underperformed whenever they are favored by 10 or more points.

The total for the game is set at an over/under of 47.5 points at -110. To bet the over or under in this one, you need to bet $110 to win $100. If you like the under at -110, you need to bet $110 to win $100.

We were 2-1 in our recommendations for Week 5. Hopefully, we’ll remain on the winning track in Week 6.

Rams vs. Giants Prediction Week 6

The LA Rams claimed a vital win to remain among the best teams so far in the 2021 NFL season. At 4-1, only their divisional rival the Arizona Cardinals are better. But for how much longer? Time will tell.

The offense is still developing around the passing arm of Matthew Stafford. He just discovered how to get the football to Robert Woods in Week 5, so now he has lit up the skies to each of his four wide receivers. The only remaining piece is tight-end Tyler Higbee. The rushing attack has been improving as well. While the team has yet to get over 100 yards from one running back, the tandem of Darrell Henderson and Sony Michel has proven to be quite effective.

The defense is ranked 13th now in points, which is not bad at all after taking on the potent offenses of the Arizona Cardinals, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and the Seattle Seahawks in Seattle.

The run defense has been stiffening, and the pass defense is taking steps to improve as well. Two interceptions against the Seahawks is a good step in the right direction, particularly considering that the Seahawks only turned over the football once before. Of course, the status of defensive back Darious Williams will play a huge part in how prepared the team will be for their upcoming game.

Our recommendations:
Take the Under at 47.5 points (-110)
Take the Rams on the Moneyline (-650) to win outright
