1 – Buffalo Bills
The first stop in our 31 team trade marathon is to consider a deal with the Buffalo Bills running back Matt Breida. Let’s face it, folks, the guy is a solid rotational piece in any running back committee, and he is just collecting dust on the Bills bench right now.
After three promising seasons on the San Francisco 49ers offense, he has since put in a one-year stint with the Miami Dolphins, and now is playing for the Buffalo Bills. Well, he is on their roster at least.
Breida is a 5-foot-10, 195-pound rusher who is a dangerous offensive weapon in either the running game or the passing game. Since Breida has a history of playing three seasons with the 49ers, he could be a valuable player for the LA Rams as the team looks to compete against the NFC West through the remainder of the 2021 NFL season.
The most intriguing aspect of Breida is the fact that he is completely comfortable in a rotational role. In fact, he flourishes at it. He even plays coverage on special teams.
The fact is that he is an underused talent on the Bills roster, and should be available for a relatively inexpensive offer. What might that offer be? Well, that’s relative to the opinion of how valuable you might expect him to be on the Rams offense.
I think we can all agree that the LA Rams would be wise to give this trade serious consideration. The team has suffered an abundance of injuries at the running back position so far, and the season is still young. Matt Breida is an accomplished running back who could help the Rams down the stretch.
