26 – New England Patriots

Another edge rusher who has serious potential is New England Patriots OLB Josh Uche. While he is not a starter, he is an outside linebacker with tremendous upside. He is rotating in for about a third of the defensive snaps. Already the 6-foot-3 245-pound edge rusher has amassed seven tackles and three quarterback sacks.

We know that defensive coordinator Raheem Morris loves to get after the quarterback. Uche would be an excellent player to help the Rams do so. He is young enough to be a valued piece for several years to come but has developed into a contributor now.

Uche is entering his second NFL season, and he is already showing a natural ability to kick it into overdrive and get after the quarterback. He generated three quarterback sacks in just the first two games of the season but has been a bit stymied since. He has seven tackles this year, as well as a fumble recovery.

He would be an excellent choice if the Rams were interested in getting after the quarterback more effectively. Right now, we can deduce that sacking the quarterback is one of the goals of the Raheem Morris defense. Uche would most certainly help the defense do so.
