3 – Tampa Bay Buccaneers

I cannot lie. I have loved the play from Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Ronald Jones since his playing days at USC. In each game, it seemed to me as though Jones made Trojans quarterback Sam Darnold look better than he was, and Jones did not get the proper credit for doing so.

Jones has shown incredible potential as an NFL player since joining the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. But he has since fallen into Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians’ doghouse, and he now sits and watches running back Leonard Fournette handle the load.

Ronald Jones could be a star in the Rams offense. He is healthy. He is young. And he has the potential to put up 1,000 yards rushing in an NFL season. Best of all, the running back is rumored to be available via trade right now.

Yes, the Rams have already made a trade for RB Sony Michel. But imagine an LA Rams backfield of Darrell Henderson, Sony Michel, and Ronald Jones? That would be a tremendously dangerous trio to defend.

Right now, Jones averages less than 20 percent of the Bucs offense, and just five carries per game. Would he be available at the right price? Time will tell. But he is certainly a player who could help the LA Rams through the rest of the 2021 NFL season.
