Rams Game Day SNF: Titans vs. Rams odds and prediction for NFL Week 9
By Bret Stuter
The LA Rams are 7-1 and are entering November 2021 with a bit of swagger. Overconfidence? Perhaps a bit rushed in the expectations that the team is suddenly that much better from the moment that the blockbuster trade was announced today of a blockbuster trade to acquire All-Pro outside linebacker Von Miller from the Denver Broncos. They will need him to face a pretty solid Tennessee Titans team that is an AFC best with a record of 6-2.
Let’s take baby steps over this one. Von Miller is a statistical and long-term improvement to the LA Rams defense. But like all Thanksgiving Day banquets, you can smell the tasty treats long before one delectable morsel passes your lips and explodes all over your taste buds. We are smelling the feast that the organization is preparing. But even as mouths water in anticipation, the fine dining experience is still a bit of time away.
The Titans assigned their rushing workhorse, running back Derrick Henry, to injured reserve and indications are that the team is rumored to be signing Adrian Peterson to backfill the role.
That makes this Week 9 game a huge ambiguous fog, a contest sitting in a kicked-up cloud of dust that really inhibits the ability to form an objective honest analysis of the game. So what have the oddsmakers decided?
Titans vs Rams Odds, Spread, Over/Under & Betting Pick Week 9
Odds are courtesy of WynnBET (but are subject to change quickly)
Point Spread
- Titans +7.5 (-110)
- Rams -7.5 (-110)
Money Line
- Titans +280
- Rams -340
Over/Under 54.0 points
- Over -110
- Under -110
Recommended Bets:
Take the Rams on the Moneyline (-340) to win outright
The Moneyline for this one will likely be all over the place. I would bet now if that wager catches your eye. The odds may improve, but then they may not.
I would be cautious about the current spread favoring the team by 7.5 points. While I have little concern over the likelihood of victory, the coaching staff has a lot of ground to cover this week in order to prepare to take on the Titans, who are themselves a bona fide NFL playoff team
The total for the game is set at an over/under of 54.0 points at -110. To bet the over or under in this one, you need to bet $110 to win $100. If you like the under at -110, you need to bet $110 to win $100.
I am leaning to the under in this one. I can see both teams’ defenses clamping down a bit for this contest.
Titans vs Rams Prediction Week 9
The Titans have lost twice: Once to the Arizona Cardinals and once to the New York Jets. But this team did defeat both the Buffalo Bills and the Kansas City Chiefs. They just had a shootout victory over the Indianapolis Colts and lead their division by a comfortable three-game margin.
Even as the Rams stand with a 7-1 record, their lone loss to the Arizona Cardinals has them in the NFL Wild Card track thanks to losing the head-to-head contest tiebreaker to a division rival.
I’ll go with the LA Rams winning this one, simply because their need to do so is so much greater than that of the Tennessee Titans. The Titans are a very good team, but they can surrender some points. Hopefully, these Rams will remain focused enough to claim a win against a tough opponent.
Our recommendations:
Take the Rams on the Moneyline (-340) to win outright
