LA Rams WR Cooper Kupp shocks NFL with 2nd NFC Offensive Player of the Month
By Bret Stuter
Record-setting single-season pace?
The fact is that Cooper Kupp is on the pace to set an NFL All-Time single-season record. Of course, some purists could argue that he only has the chance to do so thanks to the NFL and NFLPA agreeing to extend the regular season to 17 games, While that may be a factor, Kupp continues to be on track despite being pulled from the field in two games for the entire fourth quarter. So has already lost the equivalent of 0.5 games.
So who are the single-season leaders? Well, here is the NFL’s Top 10 All-Time NFL single-season receiving leaders. Here is a list of the current leaders.

You may note that the All-Time single-season receiving leading is former Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson who recorded 1,964 receiving yards in 2021. Coincidentally, the quarterback who put Megatron atop the NFL All-Time single-season receiving yards list is the same go currently playing catch with LA Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp.
Of course, he is also on track to show up among the All-Time single-season receiving touchdown leaders as well. That is significant, but we can feature that aspect of Kupp’s game later in the season.
For now, the goal is not to set records, but simply to win games. But with the current chaos in special teams and the ongoing uncertainty of whether or not the defense can withstand a talented and determined offense, the Rams are forced to outperform expectations on offense. The Rams have responded by getting the most out of the offense, and Cooper Kupp is clearly leading the charge.
Stafford will continue to throw to Kupp, it seems. Now, it’s up to the team to ensure that remains as effective through the season and into the playoffs.
