NFL holding breath over OBJ

What about Odell Beckham Jr.? Well the NFL rumor mill is working overtime right now. Depending on who you trust, the Kansas City Chiefs, the Green Bay Packers, the New Orleans Saints, the New England Patriots, and Seattle Seahawks. Why aren’t the LA Rams mentioned? Well, to be honest, the Rams front office has never been one to broadcast their intentions as teams warm up to a player.

Odell Beckham Jr. is a player who has captured the attention of all of the NFL analysts and many NFL teams throughout the recent drama with the Cleveland Browns leading up to his release.

Hot. Will the LA Rams enter the Odell Beckham Jr. sweepstakes?. light

While he and the Browns had settled on an agreement to eventually lead to OBJ’s release, there is undoubtedly some hesitation from teams to jump right into the bidding due to the back story that created the need for the Browns to consider parting ways. Reports indicate that OBJ was critical of his quarterback, and that was not well received by the team. That type of report certainly dampens the enthusiasm of potential suitors who would otherwise love to have him on the roster.

Could he help the LA Rams offense? Perhaps. The drawback with the LA Rams is the simple fact that the team would be extremely limited in promising OBJ a significant role in this offense. After all, this is a block-first, rock-second type of offense that does not fit the type of game that Beckham prefers.

Of course, as all NFL teams are mesmerized with OBJ, the LA Rams could use this opportunity to sneak a signing in from some other player. Josh Reynolds would be one such option. But we’ve been tracking and monitoring a number of other wide receivers who could be a solid option for the LA Rams offense. Who are they? Some we have mentioned before, but no sense being shy.
