While the team is flourishing amidst a three-game winning streak, the Vikings are enjoying their own bit of late-season success.  They have defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers and Chicago Bears, and the LA Chargers and Green Bay Packers before that. It seems as though they have played well enough despite playing one of the more difficult schedules in the NFL. The NFC North has faced the NFC West and the AFC North this year.

The 10-4 LA Rams face the 7-7 Minnesota Vikings in a game that contains plenty of playoff implications for the NFC. If the team wins, they are locked in for a playoff berth and are suddenly looking at the chance of winning the NFC West.  If the Vikings win, they vault to the remaining wild card slot but must defeat the Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Bears to ensure playing in the post-season.

The offense seems to have found a balance on offense, and their willingness to control the clock suddenly has the defense playing their best football of the season. The Vikings’ offense is good in both passing and running the ball. But if the team continues to commit to a balanced offensive attack, the Rams could emerge with another win.
