LA Rams sending four to Pro Bowl, but Stafford and Whitworth huge snubs

2 Rams first time Pro Bowlers
Breaking into the elite group of Pro Bowlers is not an easy task for newbies. Oftentimes, it’s not enough to best other NFL players, but to do so in such a way as to blow out the competition. that is exactly what has happened for both of the LA Rams’ first-time NFL Pro Bowlers: PK Matt Gay and WR Cooper Kupp.
For kicker Matt Gay, there is no better kicker at making the kick right now. His accuracy leads the NFL, and this is only his third season in the NFL. Is he worth an extension? You’d better believe that he is. How good is he? For field goal accuracy, he has missed just once. His 40+ accuracy? He has nailed 10 of 11 field goals at or over 40 yards:
His 97.6 percent accuracy on extra points is good enough for a ninth-best in the NFL. And his points total of 124 points is good enough for second-best in the NFL. His accuracy has improved dramatically in each of his three successive NFL seasons. There simply is no one better to count on to kick it through the uprights.
Leaf in the wind, watch how I soar
LA Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp seems to defy all logic. He is not the tallest, fastest, strongest, or even the most sure-handed wide receiver (no slight intended) in the NFL. But he is bigger than expected, surprisingly fast, physical enough to block defensive linemen, sure-handed enough to boast nearly a 75 percent completion rate, and he runs some of the best routes in the NFL.
After 14 games in the season, Cooper Kupp is the only wide receiver who averages better than 100 yards per game. How much more? He is averaging 116.1 yards per game, completely blowing the doors off the next best receiver in the NFL rankings.
Even better is the fact that he is doing much of the work after he catches the football. His 693 yards after the catch is more than 100 yards better than the second-best receiver, Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Chris Godwin, in that category.
He has 14 touchdown catches, three more than Tampa Bay Buccaneers Mike Evans. He has 24 20+ yard receptions, two more than Minnesota Vikings Justin Jefferson. While he has 20 more targets than Kansas City Chiefs WR Tyreke Hill, he also has 20 more receptions than the same Tyreke Hill.
Kupp is dominating the rest of the NFL wide receivers. And keep in mind that he was pulled off the football field in the fourth quarter in two separate football games. He was not only the obvious Pro Bowler but deserves to be All-Pro and NFL MVP as well.
