LA Rams Playoff scenarios

Let’s start from the bottom of possibilities and examine the worst-case scenario if the LA Rams finish with a record of 11-6. That worst-case scenario would drop the LA Rams back to the fifth seed, and place them as the top-seeded wild card team. But it would also mean the following:

Fifth-Seed
Rams must lose both games: @ Baltimore Ravens and vs. San Francisco 49ers
AND
Arizona Cardinals must win one game: @ Dallas Cowboys or vs. Seattle Seahawks
No other team has six or fewer losses, so Rams fall no further than the fifth seed

Top-seed
Rams must win both games
AND
Green Bay Packers must lose both games: vs. Minnesota Vikings and @ Detroit Lions
AND
Dallas Cowboys must lose either: vs. Arizona Cardinals or @ Philadelphia Eagles

Win NFC West

Rams must win both games: @ Baltimore Ravens and vs. San Francisco 49ers
OR
Rams must win one game and
Arizona Cardinals must win one game: @ Dallas Cowboys or vs. Seattle Seahawks
OR
Rams must lose both games: @ Baltimore Ravens and vs. San Francisco 49ers
Arizona Cardinals must lose both games: @ Dallas Cowboys or vs. Seattle Seahawks

The iterations that involve the LA Rams seeding if the team wins the NFC West are simply too cumbersome to spell out easily. Suffice it to say that if the LA Rams win the NFC West championship, the Rams will play one home game in the postseason. So now the million-dollar question.

When should the LA Rams sit their starters?
