The LA Rams have turned that 0-3 losing streak in November into a 4-0 winning streak in December. Now, what list in wait for the team in 2022, and their Week 17 contest on the road to face the Baltimore Ravens?
The LA Rams have already locked up a playoff berth and will likely play up to four post-season games. So now the question remains as to whether the Rams continue to win and get at least one home game, or try to preserve the team’s health and risk coming into the playoffs cold and rusty?
Of course, the Baltimore Ravens have locked up nothing, and the team must prepare to face their best after a humiliating loss at the hands of AFC North Division Rival, the Cincinnati Bengals. With that loss, the Ravens cannot afford to lose another game if they plan to compete in the playoffs this year.
Both teams have been impacted by the recent COVID-19 spike among NFL players, and that will certainly be something worth monitoring. For now, only two offensive linemen remain out, while the Ravens hope to turn the corner this week.
The Rams need to win a physical contest like this one to prove that their recent winning streak is not a fluke. While the Rams have won four games, two have come against the fast-fading Seattle Seahawks and the Jacksonville Jaguars. Can the Rams beat a motivated Ravens team? That’s what we will learn in Week 17.
Rams vs Ravens Betting Odds, Spread, Over/Under & Pick Week 17
- Rams -3.5 (-110)
- Ravens +3.5 (-110)
- Rams -175
- Ravens +145
Over/Under 46.5 points
- Over -110
- Under -110
Take the Rams (-175) on the Money Line to win this game outright.
The betting line opens early with the LA Rams showing up once again as a slight road favorite. I have less confidence this week than I did against the Vikings in Week 16. But I do believe that the Rams can win this one on the road once more.
Rams vs Ravens Prediction Week 17
The 11-4 LA Rams face the 8-7 Baltimore Ravens in a game that the Ravens will be desperate to win. Perhaps too desperate? I can’t see the Rams looking past the Ravens at this point in the season. As long as the Rams remain focused, they can win this one.
The Rams have one of the most dominating passing attacks in the NFL, and the Ravens have been decimated this year by the passing game. Look for the Rams to try jumpstarting Matthew Stafford from a horrific game in Minnesota by giving him good looks and plenty of high percentage targets.
Expect the LA Rams will win this one outright, so take the Money Line and the Rams. I’d wait to see who is playing for both teams before jumping on the odds or Over/Under just yet.
