Of course, starting any dialogue about who will be back the following year begins by acknowledging the roster, and identifying who may test the NFL Free Agency Market. To determine who may test free agency, I’ve pulled the 18 names of LA Rams projected 2022 free agents from Spotrac.com as of December 31, 2021.
Of course, this article is about bringing players back, right?
Now, let’s get back to that projected free agent list. Here are the hardest-hit positions in the 2022 Free agency departure are as follows:

That is a lot of talent about to hit the NFL Free Agency Market in 2022.
Restocking the Rams roster
As we had stated in a previous article, the Rams project to carry over 44 players under contract, which is a significant number of players. And there will be the players signed to future reserve contracts after the team no longer plays actual football. Typically, those players signed after the team’s practice squad disbands and is typically in the 10-20 range of additional players.
That places the number of players who will be with the team at about 60 before the NFL draft. We know that the team will have eight draft picks, so that means another eight players. And the team will round out the 90-player roster with undrafted free agents signed after the draft. So where does that leave us? That’s right. 8 LA Rams players who will likely be back in 2022.
