Throughout the season, the team has revealed which uniform combination they have chosen to don for the upcoming game. And as the season progressed, we’ve noted that the fans have responded each week before the big reveal, expressing deliberate interest in the color combination.

Should the uniform combination matter? Of course not. But somehow, it has. Whether the sheer forces of random events, deliberate determinations of Karma, or simply the result on the players of the clothes make the man, the frequency of the team’s color combination and the success of the team in the game has been more than a bit coincidental.

What have the Rams done in that combination so far this year?

So far over the course of this season, the LA Rams have gone with their Classic White jerseys with Sol Yellow pants twice before. The first time was a solid victory to open the season against the Chicago Bears with a decisive 34-13 victory. The second time the team garbed itself in the White/Sol combination, the team lost to the Tennessee Titans.

The Cincinnati Bengals, as this year’s designated home team in Super Bowl LVI, opted to claim their uniform of choice with their black jerseys paired with their white pants.

With the Bengals opting for their dark jerseys, the Rams were all but limited to either their bone or white jerseys. The Rams have opted to go with their limited edition classic white jerseys but will continue their postseason run in their Sol pants.

It seems fitting that the LA Rams began their 2021 NFL Season playing in Classic White jersey and Sol Yellow pants, against an opponent that opted to wear black jerseys and white pants. The season will end the way it began. Let’s hope that means a victory as well.
