LA Rams free agency: 4 Eagles who could be trade targets for 2022

Pocket passer?
The Philadelphia Eagles are reportedly interested in moving on from QB Gardner Minshew. After the Eagles traded for Minshew for the cost of a sixth-round pick, they themselves received phone calls from teams looking to acquire a backup quarterback of their own. But before proceeding further, I must admit that I was very hopeful that the Rams might acquire him to be their backup quarterback.
After seeing what Rams backup quarterback John Wolford did in games in 2021, and what Minshew did in games in 2021, I’m even more convinced that Minshew would be an ideal fit on this Rams roster. While just 6-foot-1 and 225 pounds, Minshew has all the characteristics of a younger, and a wee bit shorter, Matthew Stafford. His passing accuracy continues to improve each season, his career touchdowns (41) to interceptions (12) are phenomenal, and he has an 11.0 yard-per-completion average that is rock solid.
Minshew makes the throws
He can hurl the bomb, and he is far more likely to win games by passing than by scampering for a first down. That alone creates more inherent durability. But what I most appreciate is the fact that he can come off the bench and the Rams offense would not skip a beat. Although his record with the Eagles as a starter was 1-1, the offense averaged 29.5 points (offense, not defense) per game.
The Eagles’ starting quarterback, Jalen Hurts, is a natural complement to the style of game that Rams backup John Wolford plays. And Minshew is a far more natural backup quarterback to the style of game that Matthew Stafford plays. The Rams and Eagles could fix those misalignments, and make both teams stronger as a result.
Proposed asking price: 2022 fourth-round pick
Rams should offer: sign and trade John Wolford plus conditional 2023 fifth-round pick
Now, what about a veteran defensive lineman?
