The final rankings are in for the 2021 NFL offensive lines by Pro Football Focus. The LA Rams came in as the seventh-best offensive line in the NFL. But perhaps one of the most curious fun facts from that ranking is the knowledge that OT Andrew Whitworth (86.1 grade) and Rob Havenstein (81.7 grade) are the best offensive tackle tandem that the Cincinnati Bengals have faced in the postseason so far.

So far, they are a far better tandem than the Bengals have faced so far. Like who? Well, let’s run down the names?

Las Vegas Raiders
LT Kolton Miller (84.2 grade)
RT Brandon Parker (55.7 grade)

Tennessee Titans
LT Taylor Lewan (71.4 grade)
RT David Quissenberry (80.9 grade)

Kansas City Chiefs
LT Orlando Brown Jr. (75.1 grade)
RT Lucas Niang (64.6 grade)

While all of the teams that the Bengals have faced so far are clearly worthy opponents and had all earned a berth in the NFL Playoffs, not all teams in the NFL are constructed with the same talent.

Rams OTs are solid

The best offensive linemen for the LA Rams are their bookend offensive tackles, and they will be matching up with the Cincinnati Bengals’ best pass rushers: DE Sam Hubbard will line up opposite RT Rob Havenstein; while DE Trey Hendrickson will line up opposite LT Andrew Whitworth; even RDT B.J. Hill will line up against LG David Edwards. If Edwards struggles, the Rams could give him some help with center Brian Allen.

The LA Rams are by no means assured of forming an impenetrable pocket for quarterback Matthew Stafford. If the Rams do not play to their capabilities, the Bengals’ defensive front is every bit as dangerous as any team in the NFL. But when you match up individual players on the LA Rams offensive line, I like the fact that the Rams’ strongest offensive linemen will line up against the Bengals’ strongest pass rushers.
