Donald respects Miller
Von Miller’s Super Bowl production reaffirms the importance of keeping him in LA. Von Miller, Aaron Donald, and Leonard Floyd make each other better and more successful, so losing one could ruin the system. And only Von Miller had the reputation to advise Aaron Donald throughout the season to make Donald a far more effective teammate and leader

For his price of a 2022 second-round and third-round draft picks, it was worth it just to put Aaron Donald’s mind at rest and confirm that the Rams organization is about building the best roster possible.
Now, keeping the roster all together? That is the tricky part. The LA Rams wanting to find some way to retain Von Miller is a no-brainer. Von Miller is more than production on the football field. He is a mentor to the team’s best defensive players. He is an unstoppable force on the football field, but an infectious laugh and smile off the field.
#Rams will make a concerted effort in resigning Von Miller - knowing full well his market will be robust - source says. I’m told the team is open to both a one-year and multi-year extension for the future Hall of Famer. Key bonus: Aaron Donald and Miller are great friends.

Why wouldn’t the Rams want to extend Von Miller? He is one of the solutions to NFL offenses leaning more and more toward mobile quarterbacks. He is a textbook edge rusher. He works hard and plays harder. And he is a wealth of knowledge to his teammates. But persuading Von Miller to stay in the LA Rams organization gets more complicated.
