Will LA Rams re-sign Von Miller? Flip a coin, as it’s likely 50/50

As we assess the various scenarios, we have to be brutally honest with ourselves. There is a passionate desire by Von Miller to someday be playing for the Broncos again. So much so that his Twitter profile says nothing about the LA Rams, but does state “Texas A&M DeSoto, Tx – Denver Bronco”. And his profile picture on his account remains his Denver Broncos picture in #58 with his armed raised to the sky.
Then there is the fact that Von Miller owns and operates a large poultry farm in DeSoto, Texas. And he purchased a nearly million-dollar home in Foxfield, Colorado in 2012. Due to the short duration of his contract with the LA Rams, he has neither sold his home in Colorado nor have there been reports that he had purchased a home in or around the Los Angeles area.
Tugging on heartstrings
Von Miller welcomed the birth of his son, Valor Miller in August 2021, with his former girlfriend Megan Denise. Now that he is a father, priorities have and likely will continue to change for the NFL star pass rusher. Whether or not that will affect the chances of the LA Rams to re-sign Miller for the 2022 NFL season remains to be seen.
Life comes at you fast. Von Miller has had to deal with quite a bit of change in the past 12 months. He suffered a season-ending injury in 2020. He became a father for the first time in 2021. He returned to the Broncos and did not have the results he expected. He was traded to the LA Rams, a trade he never saw coming. And he just earned his second Super Bowl ring. That’s a lot to process.
Will the LA Rams succeed at extending OLB Von Miller? I could tell you yes. I could tell you no. But the best predictive method right now? Flip a coin. I give it about a 50/50 shot. Do you see it otherwise?
