Rams Draft: Dream mock scenario

Okay, so when are the LA Rams picking?  Well, here is the list, and we’ve drafted what we believe to be a dream draft scenario. For this NFL Mock Draft, we used Pro Football Network’s mock draft simulator. So let’s get right to it after you review our selections, which will be? Well, our LA Rams 2022 NFL Draft tracker and updates provide us with all the necessary details:

  • First Round
  • No picks
  • Second Round
  • No picks
  • Third Round
  • No. 104 – Nik Bonitto, OLB University of Oklahoma
  • Fourth Round
  • No. 142- J.T. Woods, S, Baylor University
  • Fifth Round
  • No. 175 – Akayleb Evans, CB, University of Missouri
  • Sixth Round
  • No. 212 – Logan Bruss, OL, University of Wisconsin
  • No. 213 – Daniel Bellinger, TE, San Diego State University
  • No. 219 – Josh Jobe, CB, University of Alabama
  • Seventh Round
  • No. 239 – Thomas Booker, DT, University of Stanford
  • No. 254 – Jordan Stout, P, Penn State University

While this may not be the way the LA Rams approach the 2022 NFL Draft, this strategy does several things in a very good way. For starters, the team reinforces a defense that has been hit hard by free agency defections over the past two years.  For another thing, it adds just enough offensive talent to give the coaching staff some new developmental talent for the pipeline.

But perhaps most of all, this draft has managed to assemble the type of talent that some draft analysts have projected to come off the board much earlier in the draft. In short, other NFL teams are doing most of the heavy panning for draft gold, and the LA Rams are simply picking up the gold nuggets that are left behind in the remaining silt.
