2022 LA Rams schedule to be made public on or about May 10-12

We know that it’s tough to repeat as defending NFL Champions. The reasons for that are many, but one of the contributing factors is the schedule. Since the LA Rams had won the NFC West Division, they will face similar first-place NFL teams in 2022. With that, the Rams will compete with NFC West Division teams twice, once at home and once on the road.

For 2022, the Rams will also face teams from the AFC West Division, as well as teams from the NFC South division. All told, the Rams will play 17 games in 2022, and their opponents were named as long ago as three months. Yes, that’s right. The Rams knew who they would face in January 2022.

Before turning our attention to Wild Card week, Rams 2022 schedule is now complete, and it'll be a first place gauntlet.

Home (9): SEA, SF, ARI, CAR, ATL, LV, DEN, DAL*, BUF*

Road (8): Hawks, Niners, Cards, Saints, Bucs, Chiefs, Chargers, Packers*

But the who is just one piece to the NFL schedule challenge. The Rams will be facing teams that are beginning to practice for the first time as a unit, just as the Rams are doing. Some teams have new coaches. Other teams have new quarterbacks. Still, other teams are running it back, with a nearly identical coaching staff and player roster as one year ago. Just how tough with all of that be?

So which teams hold the toughest schedule in 2022? The early projects place the LA Rams as holders of one of the toughest NFL schedules in the league.

So when will we learn the full schedule on a week-by-week basis? Per NBC Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio, look for the NFL full schedule to be released on or about May 10-12, 2022.

We’ll have a much better feel for the Rams season when the full schedule comes out. It was certainly an advantage for the Rams to benefit from a Week 11 BYE in the 2021 NFL schedule. It also helped the LA Rams to have some divisional rival games in the first half of the season. Even the travel schedule for 2021 was relatively benign, as the Rams had long weeks to prepare for travel to the East Coast last year.

Will the Rams have a similar stroke of luck this year? The longest distance facing the LA Rams in 2022 is traveling to play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. And due to the shared stadium, the Rams will play ten games within the quite familiar confines of SoFi Stadium this year. Stay Tuned…
