Defensive back

The greatest concern in my mind this morning is that LA Rams secondary is in need of attention. Of course, one or two key additions in this draft can be the difference between night and day. The trick is landing those one or two key additions on Day 3.

Of course, it can be done. The LA Rams landed DB Jordan Fuller in the sixth round of the 2020 NFL Draft. And by my reckoning, the 2022 NFL Draft is just as deep if not deeper than the draft class of 2020 at the defensive back position.   Even as this draft is midway through Round 4, the cornerback position is still looking a bit thick and robust. And FYI, I do not think that we are not the only ones on the face of the planet hoping for a defensive back in Round 4.

If the Rams do not find value in a defensive back at 142, there should be plenty of edge rushers. In fact, the front office could go just about anywhere on the roster. But before we abandon ship before the LA Rams step up to the podium, let’s hang in there.

This draft class continues to surprise, and even as 32 NFL teams approach the midpoint at picks 131-132, there are plenty of solid prospects remaining. It will be up to the Rams front office to sort through the draft board instantly and make another vital selection at 142.

Who will the Rams pick? Stay tuned…
