Reason III: He joins two Wisconsin Badger alumni

Are the LA Rams in a bit of a rut when they select offensive linemen? If they are, that is perfectly acceptable. Wisconsin Badgers, much like Iowa Hawkeyes, run a football program with a solid reputation for churning out solid offensive linemen.  The LA Rams have two former Badgers starting on the offensive line this year: Left guard David Edwards and Right Tackle Rob Havenstein.

Social connections for rookie offensive linemen are so vital as they prepare to transition to that new life among their NFL teammates.  In Bruss’s situation, he already knows and has worked with both Edwards and Havenstein, who will undoubtedly be there to help him transition to life in the pros.

Clearly, the LA Rams appreciate the type of offensive linemen who graduate from Wisconsin, and it helps that Bruss was a very accomplished performer for the Badgers. Now he will pedal those same skills in the trenches for the LA Rams, pitted against Greg Gaines, A’Shawn Robinson, and Aaron Donald.

Yes, Logan Bruss graduated from Wisconsin. But now, he’s about to do his doctorate school in NFL blocking at the University of NFL Hard Knocks by Professor Aaron Donald. Is he ready? You tell me…

And doesn’t it help that he knows two guys on the Rams offensive line already? Yeah, I think so too. We’ll talk about Bruss’s role with the Rams soon. For now, the focus is on the Rams solidifying their offensive line depth. Bruss does that, very well.
