The LA Rams are nestled nicely in the southwest corner of the continental United States. While that has certain benefits of holding one of the more temperate climates for any NFL city, and a host of special bonuses like hanging with celebrities and Hollywood stars, it comes with a bit of downside as well.

The Rams are oftentimes one of the most traveled teams in the NFL.  Well, most of the time. This year, whether by design or the mercy of some Cosmic force, the LA Rams have not been chosen as one of the ten NFL teams who will be competing this year in an international stadium.  That fact, plus the fact that the LA Rams play 10 games in the friendly confines of their home field, SoFi Stadium, would leave you to believe that the Rams get a travel break this year.

Even with so many factors going the LA Rams‘ way, the team continues to be one of the most traveled NFL teams in the league. This year? They are the 16th most traveled team out of 32 teams.

So where are the LA Rams traveling to?

Away games

Seattle Seahawks (7-10)
Arizona Cardinals (11-6)
San Francisco 49ers (10-7) New QB
Los Angeles Chargers (9-8) * At SoFi Stadium
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (13-4) New QB
New Orleans Saints (9-8) New coaching staff
Kansas City Chiefs (12-5)
Green Bay Packers (13-4) New QB?

Home games

Seattle Seahawks (7-10)
Arizona Cardinals (11-6)
San Francisco 49ers (10-7) New QB
Atlanta Falcons (7-10)
Carolina Panthers (5-12)
Las Vegas Raiders (10-7) New coaching staff
Denver Broncos (7-10) New coaching staff
Dallas Cowboys (12-5)
Buffalo Bills (11-6)

The Rams Travel to the East Coast once and to the Central Time Zone three times.  While that is less than many seasons, it’s still enough of a jump to keep the Rams among the most traveled teams in the NFL.

It’s just one of the challenges that the LA Rams must face on an annual basis.  It’s a scenario that is completely different from the Pittsburgh Steelers, whose 2022 schedule involves just 6,442 miles and no time zone changes.  But don’t get envious of that schedule, Rams fans. Why? Well, the LA Rams will never have such a cushy schedule.
