3 UDFAs most likely to make the LA Rams roster

Rush that QB
OLB Braydon Thomas is a very energetic and passionate pass rusher who fell in the 2022 NFL Draft due to being too raw to fit the typical criteria for a draftable edge rusher. In his final collegiate season, Thomas racked up 30 tackles, 14.5 tackles for a loss, and nine quarterback sacks. He stands 6-foot-3 and weighs a burly 260-pounds, so size will not be the problem at the NFL level. He is quite versatile, having significant experience as either an outside linebacker or a defensive end. Look for him to fill a 3-4 outside linebacker for the Rams.
Thomas is simply in need of coaching refinement. He is strong enough and fast enough to get the job done. The last piece to the puzzle is needing to be taught how to improve his efficiency, to load his arsenal of pass rush moves with an array of successful strategies. He has the makings of a solid contributor to the LA Rams defense.
Of course, not every raw prospect who is signed by the LA Rams has what it takes to make the team, but Thomas may be one who does. He may be from a small school football program, but he consistently demonstrated immense power and enough football instincts to make his presence felt on the football field.
The LA Rams have plenty of opportunities this year for an edge rusher who can play. Not only does that create the chance of earning a spot in the defensive rotation, but special teams would love to have a big-bodied tackler covering punts and kickoffs. Thomas will be eager to contribute in any way possible because he knows that he must prove that he deserves to be considered along with his teammates.
