Option I: Big Whit

LA Rams retired offensive tackle Andrew Whitworth would be an ideal broadcast partner to pair up with Tom Brady. While Brady is the more aloof, cerebral type, Whitworth is a guy whose NFL experiences in the trenches are a bit more relatable. He is the blue-collar guy, the one who worked hard through an NFL career that is nearly as long as Brady’s but far more physically demanding.

But Whitworth is more than seniority or football Xs and Os. He is an NFL celebrity who has used that podium to help the lives of those in the community around him. He has been honored with the Walter Payton’s Man Of The Year Award and was so very deserving of that distinction:

Whitworth is just downright likable, and he cleans up well too. His style of public speaking is simply natural, almost as warm and friendly as the late NFL coach and broadcaster John Madden.

Whitten has a similar style, a disarming approach that favors nobody and everybody on the football field at the same time. His pure love of the game, a game that has given him so much and continues to do so. Andrew Whitworth makes a great interview and has a relaxed and conversational style that is easy to follow. Whitworth is the type of partner that makes Tom Brady watchable on television, bad sportsmanship and all.
