Historically, the LA Rams have invested quite a bit into the offensive side of the football over the past six NFL drafts.  Since the Rams have united Head Coach Sean McVay with General Manager Les Snead, the team has selected an offensive player first into the draft all but once.  That occurred in 2018 when the team drafted safety Taylor Rapp from the University of Washington with the 61st overall pick of the 2018 NFL Draft

The LA Rams are about a 50/50 shot with undrafted offensive linemen to make the practice squad, let alone the full 53-man roster. This year the odds may be worse, as the team had added two offensive linemen via the 2022 NFL Draft. So let’s start this off by stating for the record that offensive guard Jack Snyder out of San Jose State certainly has his work cut out for him.

But he has a chance at making the roster. A former offensive left tackle who projects to the inside of an offensive line, Snyder is a smart and robust offensive lineman who is arriving from a small college football program. At 6-foot-5 and 310-pounds, he has the size and experience to fulfill any number of NFL offensive line positions. Extremely coachable with excellent leadership traits. While he needs additional coaching to avoid broadcasting his moves, he has the makings of an NFL starter in the future.

As the only new wide receiver to the LA Rams roster (well, after signing free-agent wide receiver Allen Robinson), there is both opportunity and pressure upon the wide receiver from Montana State, Lance McCutcheon. But there are reasons to keep this young man on your radar throughout training camp.

Standing 6-foot-2 and weighing 205-pounds, McCutcheon is a perfect example of a wide receiver who possesses all of the traits currently most valued by the Rams offense at this time. He is a bigger and more-physical receiver who runs excellent routes, creates separation by quick bursts and deceptive moves on defensive backs, and has great success in winning contested footballs.

Now, what about looking at the tight ends?
