Week 15

Green Bay Packers (Away)

• Time:     5:15 pm PT
• TV:          ESPN/ABC

Not only do the LA Rams travel to Lambeau Field to face the Green Bay Packers on the road, but the Rams must face the Packer on the road on Monday Night Football after the Packers BYE week.  And this game is going to be a cold one. Temperatures for Green Bay, Wisconsin run between a range of a low of 12 degrees Fahrenheit to a high on or about 28 degrees Fahrenheit. Because this game will be played on December 19, this will be the least amount of sunlight for any game at Lambeau Field.

Quarterback Matthew Stafford knows all about playing in the cold. At least he will remember that he used to face the numbing cold at some point in his distant past. The Rams cannot fight the cold, the time zone difference, the Green Bay Packers, and Lambeau Field at once.

Week 16

Denver Broncos (Home)

• Date:      Sunday, December 25
• Time:      1:30 pm PT
• TV:           CBS/Nickelodeon

The LA Rams will host the Denver Broncos on Christmas Day. This is a new and improved Broncos team, one that traded a treasure trove to the Seattle Seahawks for veteran quarterback Russell Wilson. But the LA Rams discovered when adding QB Matthew Stafford a year ago that they needed to continue to tweak the roster to better suit Stafford’s skillsets. I don’t expect that the Broncos will be as proactive for Wilson.

The Rams know Russell Wilson, and as a result, will know how to defend him. That does not mean that the Rams will shut him down. It simply means that they will not let Wilson take over this game. The Rams need a bounce-back win and find one in Week 16.
