The LA Rams are out to win another NFL Championship. Can they do it? It may be tough to do so, but it becomes far more difficult the following year. While the Rams have some things going their way, some things are not. The team finally gets the same defensive coordinator back for the second consecutive season. That has not happened since 2019. And the team will welcome back veteran quarterback Matthew Stafford, who led the Rams to a win in Super Bowl LVI.

Unfortunately, the LA Rams schedule at this point in time appears to be filled with about 14 other teams that have realistic expectations to be in the conversation about playing in Super Bowl LVII for most of the season.

To put it bluntly, the LA Rams cannot hold punches this year. If they face a team that they are expected to defeat, they must win that game. While that may or may not seem to be a tough challenge, the Rams were far more capable of winning the games that they needed to win in 2021 than in previous seasons.

So how does the coaching staff see the start of a new year? Well, Rams Head Coach Sean McVay has a healthy perspective on all of this:

The experience of winning the NFL Championship is invaluable and will help the team navigate the highs and lows of the 2022 NFL season. But this is, for all intents and purposes, a brand new team with brand new coaches and a brand new roster.  And that brings us to the topic at hand. What do the LA Rams need to repeat?

Well, the first order of business is simply to win the games that the team is expected to win.  In reviewing the team’s 2022 NFL schedule, we have identified four games that should be very winnable by the Rams. That may not seem like a large number, but these four games are truly the only ones that seem straightforward. Let’s examine each, one by one:
