Higbee rehabbing
The play that injured Tyler Higbee’s knee occurred early in the NFC Championship game. While I did not see the play, subsequent reports indicated that his leg got rolled on by another player, and he had to be helped off the field.

So the Rams placed Higbee on IR, and that had led to him sitting out the biggest game of the 2021 NFL season. Not only that but he was diagnosed with an MCL tear, which ended up being severe enough to warrant off-season surgery. That surgery concluded successfully, and Higbee stated that his knee is progressing nicely.
Rams TE Tyler Higbee said "the knee is coming along very well" regarding the injury that kept him from playing in the Super Bowl.

And from the player himself? Here is the 15:20 video where he talks about the knee injury and how he fell just before Super Bowl LVI. He is eager to get back to Super Bowl LVII and contribute directly to another SB win.
Well, that’s promising. It’s clear that the Rams’ offense is not the same without Higbee. And even with Tyler Higbee healthy, it’s still quite a challenge to find a suitable replacement for TE2 Johnny Mundt.
So now we face trying to reset the hierarchy of this tight end position, and the Rams will be doing so with former running backs position coach Thomas Brown now coaching tight ends this year. How many players do the Rams have at the tight end position? How many will the Rams keep on the active roster?
