Post Lombardi letdown?

We know that after winning a Super Bowl, some teams struggle to recapture that same hunger and intensity. While we have not yet witnessed how these LA Rams will respond to the afterglow of Lombardi love, the team certainly has not approached the 2022 off-season with any fewer rolls of the dice.

In fact, in many ways, this team has managed to infuse a number of ‘hungry’ veterans into the roster once more but has done so in an almost imperceptible subtle blending of young and seasoned style.

Do the Rams have 1 more SB win in them?

The true competition requires sacrificing time, effort, passion, and focus today in the hope to achieve tomorrow. It’s the need to set the bar to a new height that drives professional athletes to push themselves to the limit. But at some point, that is no longer enough.

Whether it’s the athlete’s body that is past its prime, the lengthy frustration of not achieving those goals, or the waning desire that comes with the been-there, done-that, eventually, that window of achievement closes. It gets called a Super Bowl hangover, a Lombardi letdown, but however you term it, the point is clear.  An NFL team that was good enough to win it all no longer is.

So the question before us now is determining whether that window is closing on the LA Rams? Or are there other forces at work to keep the window open on this team just a little bit longer?
