Offensive weakness

The Rams’ offense isn’t perfect and there are some areas where the Bills can take advantage of. For starters, the Bills will put a lot of pressure on the Rams’ young offensive line. The Bills do an excellent job rushing the quarterback and the Rams’ young unit will have their hands full in week one.

If the Rams can handle the Bills’ pass rushers, Stafford will pick their secondary apart. The Rams need their rushing attack to improve in 2022. With a new offensive coordinator in Liam Coen, the Rams will likely try to establish their rushing offense.

Running game

With the Bills’ strong rushing defense, it will be interesting to see if the Rams abandon the run early. With a new season, comes a new defense. I am sure the Rams will test out their zone running scheme against the Bills but don’t be surprised if they let Stafford carry the offense. The rushing attack is a work in progress and the Bills has to know they don’t need to stack the box to slow down the Rams’ rushing offense.

With a below-average running game, this allows the Bills to keep more skilled guys in the game. With more skilled players on the field for the Bills, it will provide more support for their passing defense. In the end, the Rams need to establish somewhat of a running game to allow their passing attack to open up.
