The LA Rams have just signed two players to the roster, running back A.J. Rose and TE Jared Pinkney. While you may not recall their names, the LA Rams did have Pinkney on the team’s 2021 NFL roster, while Rose was a preseason standout for the Minnesota Vikings.

Well, they are both signed to the LA Rams roster now, and at this juncture, both face an uphill battle for a role on the team for the 2022 NFL season. But the LA Rams are the type of team where you can never say never to a player on the roster. So who are these players?

The fact that both fill offensive roles on the team is a bit telling.

Rams roster fodder, or something more?

While the LA Rams work through training camp, it is not overly surprising for the team to prune and graft to the roster as the team has been doing so far. There have been concerns over the team’s durability at the running back position, and due to the health of TE Tyler Higbee, the depth at the team’s tight end position.

Of course, both signings could be no more than additional camp bodies, whose presence on the roster is nothing more than to ensure that training camp drills are not overworking players on the roster while the team coaches up the team in preparation for the 2022 NFL season.
